Shivakalalayam, a school of fine arts, was started in 1997 for spreading the divine art form of
Bharatanatyam across the world. It conducts 3 year diploma courses in Bharatanatyam as well as courses on Nattuvangam, vocal music for dance and folk dances. Besides, crash courses are offered for foreign students. Shivakalalayam also aims to provide free coaching for interested children from economically backward sections of the society.
