Shivaganga, perched at an altitude of 4599 ft, is situated about 56 km north-west of
Bangalore. This hill has four faces, and it looks like
Nandi from the east,
Ganesh from the west,
Linga from the south and hood spread Cobra from the north.
Shivaganga is home to age old temples of which shrines dedicated to Lord Gangadeshwara and Goddess Honnadevi are famous. There is also a natural spring between the two monolithic rocks.
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses are available from Tumkur (20 km).
