Shisharanni Feast is celebrated at
Shree Mallikarjun Temple at Shristhal in the
Canacona county of
Goa. In this feast three persons lie down on the ground, stretched from head to foot, with a pot of rice balanced on their heads. Then the blood of a person drawn with the blow of a sword, mixed with rice, is cooked together and the concoction is sprinkled on the devotees present, with a view to seek blessings from God.
