Shevaroy Hills are beautiful hills of Eastern Ghats, which run on the opposite side of the
Western Ghats. These hills are known for thriving coffee plantations, pears, oranges and bananas. The famous hill station,
Yercaud is in these hills.
Salem is surrounded by these hills to the north. The stone-age implements of closely grained basaltic rock unearthed from the site near
Pagoda Point proves the archeological importance of these hills.
