Shankar Math




Shankar Math is situated about 3 km from the main town of Srinagar, in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. The math is believed to have been constructed by Adi Shankaracharya and is noted for its unique architectural beauty. The sanctum of the temple features stone images of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. It is associated with 17th century on the basis of its stylistic features.
