Shani Temple is situated at
Shirdi village in
Ahmednagar District. It is dedicated to Lord
Shani, a powerful planet. In the temple there is a small sacred fire, known as ‘dhuni’. One can also find a large portrait of Baba placed behind the idol of Shani.
Shirdi lies on the Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway, about 250 km from Mumbai and 75 km from Nasik. The nearest airport is at Aurangabad (144 km), and the convenient railway stations are at Nasik (123 km) and
Manmad (60 km).
