Shakambhari Devi Fair




Shakambhari Devi Fair is an important fair of Uttar Pradesh, celebrated in honor of Goddess Shakambhari (Goddess Shakthi). Legend has it that when there was great trouble of foods and eatables the Devi appeared and she offered 'Shaka' to all people.

The fair takes place at the famous shrine of Shakambhari Devi in Saharanpur Dsitrict. It is held during the Navratri festival. A large number of people from far and near come to the shaktipeeth to part in the fair.

The fair site is about 45 km from Saharanpur and 95 km from Haridwar.
