Built in 1736, Shahwarwada Palace stands testimony to the legacy of
the Peshwas in
Pune. Pune was the capital of the Maratha Empire and later became the Peshwa capital. In 1817, it was taken over by the British. At present, a scenic garden around the Shahwarwada Palace which retain symbols of heritage gives a glimpse of its glorious past.
