Settur, also known as Agarasethur or Pandaravadai Sethur, is a historical village in
Karaikal District of
Pondicherry. It is about 11 km from
Karaikal on the Karaikal-Peralam road.
Sri Prathapasimmeswarar temple, which is believed to be built in 13th or 14th century, is a landmark of this village. The inscriptions of
Cholas are found in this temple. Today this temple is protected by Archaeological Survey of India.
Karaikal Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
