Seshachalam




Seshachalam, 2,800 ft high, is a group of seven hills in Tirumala of Andhra Pradesh.

The seven hills are Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrishabhadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri. Also known as Venkatachalam, these hills denote the seven hoods of serpent Adidesha, on which Lord Vishnu rests.

Seshachalam is sanctified with the temple of Shri Venkateswara (Lord Vishnu) who is revered as the lord of seven hills. According to puranas, Lord Vishnu enchanted by the charm of the hills mediated here.
