Seethargundu Viewpoint is located in
Palakkad District of
Kerala. It is about 8 km from Nelliampathy. Legend has it that it was the spot where
Sita, along with
Ram and
Lakshman, rested during their exile. From this point, one gets a charming view of the paddy fields spread below and the stone quarries of
Kollengode area.
By road, Seethargundu Viewpoint can be reached from Nelliampathy, which is 75 km south of Palakkad. The convenient railhead is Palakkad Junction Railway Station.
