Seemahi-Kari-Raat

Seemahi-Kari-Raat is a village in Uttar Pradesh, where the houses have no doors. The village is located about 90 km from Ayodhya. Even the brick-built houses have no doors. For privacy, they pull curtains across the entrances. No thefts or major crimes have been recorded in the village in living memory. Literally, the name of the village indicates 'the end of night and dawn of light'. The villagers believe that it is the Seo Baba’s Holy Spirit that protects the village from any kind of robbery.
