Situated in
Gulbarga District of
Karnataka, Sedam (also called Seram) is around 50 km south-east of
Gulbarga.
It is an ancient town where the great saint king Nrupatunga had his reign. Religious places such as Lakshmi Narayana Temple, Kottala Basaveshwara Temple, Pandurang Mandir, Panchalinga Devsthana, Jain Basadi and Durga Temple at Vidyanagar can be visited. Teekarayara Vrindavana at Malkhed is 12 km away. The historic place of Haralayyana Paduke is 10 km away. Sedam also houses Shahabad stones.
Toor Dal (pigeon peas) and Jawar (sorghum) are the major crops grown here.
