Satyanatheswarar-Kaaraittirunatheswarar Temple is located at Kanchi Nerikkaaraikkadu in
Kanchipuram District. The temple with two
prakarams holds a tank known by the names Indra Teertham and Budha Teertham. The presiding deity of the temple is
Lord Shiva referred to as Kaaraittirunatheswarar. There is a separate worship place for Goddess Kaaraarkuzhali. Legend has it that the Indra and Budhan worshiped Shiva at this place.
Sage Sambandar has glorified this temple through his pathigams. The main festival is the Arudra Darisanam.
