Sariun Fort is situated to the eastern side of the Tiun range in
Bilaspur District and is about 60 km from
Bilaspur.
History suggests that the fort was wrested by the ruler of Bilaspur from some Raja of the erstwhile Suket State, who is thought to be the original builder of the fort. The local people are quite superstitious about the fort. They think that it is bad omen to use the stones of the fort for residential purposes.
