Sardulgarh is one of the prominent towns in
Mansa District of
Punjab. It is located near the
Ghaggar River and is around 50 km south of the district headquarters,
Mansa.
Sardulgarh formed a part of the Patiala princely state before India’s Independence. Its early name was Rori Dhudal but was rechristened as Sardulgarh, after the prince of Patiala, Sardar Sardul Singh.
Major attraction of the town is an old fort built by the Maharaja Patiala. Due to age and neglect, it is more or less in a dilapidated condition. The fort now houses a police station.
Nearest airports are at Ludhiana and Chandigarh. Mansa Railway Station and Sirsa Railway Station are the nearest railheads.
