Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in
Meerut and is on the
Delhi-
Dehradun highway.
This State University caters to the agricultural development of four commissionaires, namely, Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad and Bareilly, consisting of 15 districts of western Uttar Pradesh namely Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Moradabad, Rampur, Bijnor, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Bareilly, Budaun, Pilibhit and
Shahjahanpur. The university also has three zonal research stations, three Krishi Vigyan Kendras and nine Krishi Gyan Kendras.
The university also offers courses in Electronics and Telecommunications, Biotechnology, Management and Computer science.
The university is about 73 km from Delhi and 10 km from Meerut. Pabli Khas Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
