The Veena is a hollow long instrument with neck, main resonator and resonance wood made of jackfruit wood. The 24 frets are attached to the wood by means of bee wax. The flattened bridge is made of copper, with recognizable colors. The instrument is manufactured at Thanjavur, and played solo.
