Saragarhi Memorial
Gurdwara is situated at
Ferozepur in
Punjab. It has been built in memory of the brave soldiers who laid their lives in the battle that took place in 1897, on the
Samana Ridge of the Hindu Kush and Sulleiman Range. During the war, 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikh (later 4th Sikhs) regiment had died fighting against the local tribal chiefs.
On the 12th of September every year, thousands of people gather here to pay homage to the martyrs.
