Saptasajya Hill




Saptasajya is a scenic spot situated 11 km south-east of Dhenkanal, in Orissa. Legend says that, Pandavas spent some days of forest exile in these hills. There is a temple situated on top of the hill, dedicated to Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita. The temple was built by Rani Ratnaprava Devi.

Ram Navami, celebrated in the month of March-April, draws thousand of devotees from far and near. The glittering water of the nearby spring adds the beauty of the place. The hill is an ideal place to rest and relax and draws large number of tourists.

Dhenkanal Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Saptasajya can be reached by bus from Dhenkanal Bus Station.
