Sankri is situated right on Yavatmal District’s western border with Washim District, in Maharashtra. Pohara is the nearest major settlement on the other side of the border.

Chintamani of Kalamb, Shri Ranganath Swami Temple at Wani, Sahstrakund Waterfalls and Mahadeo Temple at Moho village are other tourist options for visitors to this place. The Jain pilgrim site of Karanja and Shreekshetra Pohradevi are within easy access from Sankri.
