Sankat Mochan Music Festival

Sankat Mochan is a popular music festival held at Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varanasi District of Uttar Pradesh. The temple is about 7 km from Varanasi Junction Railway Station.

This five day festival is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Hanuman. Various cultural and musical programs are performed. These programs are based on Saraswati Lila, Ram Lila, Krishna Lila and Hanuman Charitra. Artists from all over India take part in this festival.
