Sankasur Kalo is a popular folk dance of
Goa. It depicts the various incarnations of
Lord Vishnu. The dancers donning traditional attire perform this mythological dance.
The performance begins with an invocation of Lord Ganesh. It is followed by an episode called Matsya Avatara, which depicts the fish incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The dance also depicts other deities in Hindu mythology.
This dance form is usually performed during festivals and religious occasions.
