Sangetsar Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, is located about 42 km from
Tawang, in
Tawang District of
Arunachal Pradesh. Formed as a result of an earthquake in 1950, Sangetsar was once a forested slope covered with pine trees.
Around the lake is the center of military activities of PT Tso (army) and hence the lake is also known as Panggong-Tsang Tso. Tiger's Den is a nearby attraction. October-December and March-May are the best time to visit here.
Tezpur Airport is the nearest airport. Rangapara North Railway Station in Assam is the nearest railhead.
