Orissa, besides the conventional one. The dhole of Sambalpur differs from the conventional dhole in its method of manufacture. The Sambalpur dhole is made out of a tree trunk of equal diameter. It is widely used across Orissa and can be played along with any kind of Sambalpuri folk song.
