Saltora is a taluk headquarters town, located to the south of the industrial town of Asansol, in Bankura District of West Bengal. Bankura is 17 km to the south. Santuri in the west, Hirapur and Jaykaynagar in the north, Mejia and Gangajalghati in the east and Kalipahari in the south are some of the nearby places around the town.
