Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics is situated at Bidhannagar,
Kolkata. It offers basic research and training in physical and biophysical sciences. The institution has 125 faculty members, 20 post-doctoral fellows, and 80 graduate students. Research facilities are available in the areas of Atomic Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics, Microelectronics, Cell Biology, Genetic Toxicology, Macromolecular Crystallography, Membrane Biophysics, Molecular Genetics, Photochemistry, and Radiation Chemistry.
