A yoga retreat in
Palakkad District, Sadguru Yogasramam commenced its activities in 1971 under Guru Mani. The center is situated at
Vilayodi, a small beautiful village in
Chittur taluk.
The center offers introductory, short term, full time and advanced level courses in yoga. Regular and correspondent teacher’s training programs are available. The syllabus comprises theory, pranayamas, sidhileekarana vyayamas, mantra yoga, various asanas, surya namaskar, bandhas, mudras, shatkarmas and relaxation methods.
Sadguru Yogasramam has branches at Chennai, Coimbatore and Pollachi. The center can be easily accessed from Palakkad Junction Railway Station, the nearest railhead. C A Coimbatore Airport is situated 40 km north-east of Chittur.
