Sadakat Ashram at
Patna was founded by Mazaharul Haque as a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity. The ashram, situated on the banks of
Ganges, is the headquarters of Bihar Vidyapeeth - an organization that started the Independence movement in Bihar. It is from here that the independence movement in the state was piloted.
Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India, spend his retired life here. A museum, which houses his personal belongings, is a major draw. The headquarters of the Bihar unit of Indian National Congress is located here.
