Sadaeesar Temple




Sadaeesar Temple is located at Vallam near Sriperumpudur in Cuddalore District. Vallam is situated on the way to Vallakottai Murugan temple from Sriperumpudur. The shrine along with the Nandi faces east. The main feature of the temple is that the Shivlinga peedam is square shaped. The sanctum of Goddess Sayanambigai is to the left of the Shiva shrine. Separate worship places for Navagrahas, Valampiri Vinayaka, Muruga and Vishnu are also in the temple premises. Many inscriptions are seen on the walls of the temple. Special pujas are conducted during Pradhosham and the Panguni month (mid March- mid April). The temple can be reached through buses from Sriperumpudur.
