An ideal picnic spot, Sabujdwip is located in 75 km north of
Kolkata. It is a sandbank, 2000 m long and 12 m wide, formed at the confluence of the Behula and
Hooghly rivers. The island is crowded with casuarina, palm,
eucalyptus, arjun, sal, segun and mahogany trees. There is also a view-tower and a children's park.
From Bandel Junction Railway Station one will get local train to Somrajbazar Railway Station, from where boats ferry up to Sabujdwip.
