Rural Technology Institute

Established by Govt. of Gujarat in 1979, Rural Technology works for the benefit of rural artisans and cottage industries. The institute conducts short term skill upgradation programs in bee keeping, traditional fancy leather article making, and school and travel bags making. It is engaged in research and development of tools, equipments and machines for the use of artisans. Sheet metal folding machine, improved potters wheel, briquette making machine, sheet metal rolling machine, pug mill, square pipe bending machine and kaleda making machine are among the equipments developed by the institute.
