Founded at New Delhi in 1936 by D Mehra, Rupa and Co is one of the largest publishers, distributors and importers of books in India. It publishes almost all genres of books including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, children’s literature, biographies, autobiographies, self-help books, books on religion and philosophy, culture and business management. Books are published in English, Hindi, Bengali and Urdu. Rupa and Co has sales centers in Allahabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune.
