Set at an elevation of 12,785 ft above sea level, Rulagung is a town at the borders of Kargil and Leh districts of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 225 km from Srinagar and 245 km from Jammu.
Rulagung is flanked by Kushol in the west, Linshot in the north, Pidmu in the east and Phe (18 km) in the south. Rulagung is noted for its serene ambiance. Karsha Monastery, Nerang Pass and Zongkhul Monastery are within a short distance from here.
