Royapuram is a historical place situated on the suburb of north
Chennai. It is about 4 km from Parry's Corner. Royapuram has the credit of hosting the second major railway station built in the country and it is the oldest one still surviving. The attractions of the town include the Kodandarama swamy temple, Angalaparameswari temple and the Vara Sakthi Vinayagar temple.
