Royal College of Engineering and Technology is at Akkikavu, the meeting point of
Thrissur,
Palakkad, and Malappuram districts. Affiliated to Calicut University, the college offers undergraduate courses in different streams of engineering. The library here has digital resources and is linked to national and international libraries. Language laboratory, modern multimedia equpment with internet, air-conditioned computer lab are other features. Hostels are provided separately to girls and boys.
