Rosa is a town in
Shahjahanpur District, halfway between
Bareilly and
Sitapur. This town is closely associated with Lord Barron, who was a European merchant and an enthusiastic hunter. He founded
Nainital in the year 1841 as an ultimate summer destination. Rosa is also famous for a large sugar refinery and rum distillery established by Europeans.
