Rishop

Rishop is a scenic hamlet in Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal. It is situated at an altitude of 8500 ft above sea level. The village offers an excellent view of Kanchenjungha. Dhupi trees are found in plenty in Rishop. Regarding the name of the village, 'Ri' stands for 'mountain peak' and 'shop' means 'old trees.' Kalimpong, Lava, Rabangla and Lolaygaon are the nearest tourist attractions.

The village is situated at a distance of 27 km from Kalimpong. New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station and Civil Enclave Bagdogra are the nearest railway station and airport.
