Riasi Fort is an ancient fort located about 3 km from
Riasi in
Rajouri District of
Jammu and Kashmir. This fort belonged to General Zorawar Singh, a controversial warrior best remembered in India for his clashes with the Chinese over
Ladakh.
The fort preserves the private treasure of the Dogra rulers of Jammu. Besides the reserve treasure of the Maharaja, the fort also has specimens of all new stamps, coins issued by the state. This ancient monument situated on a ridge overlooking the mighty Chenab River is now in a ruined state although it is still inhabited by the descendants of General Singh.
