Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra, at
Lucknow, was started in the year 1983 as a regional center of the Lalit Kala Akademi,
New Delhi. It aims to promote activities in the field of arts in the states of
Uttar Pradesh,
Gujarat and
Rajasthan.
Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra has a well equipped workshop and a studio for the artists. The Kendra houses a graphic workshop for the artists in the disciplines such as etching, lithography, serigraphy and lino and wood printings.
The other workshops housed in the Kendra include sculpture and ceramic workshops. Seminars and exhibitions are also conducted every year. Fully air conditioned galleries, an auditorium and a library are the other features of the Kendra. The Kala Kendra also has a rest house for the visiting artists.
Lucknow Junction Railway Station is the nearest railway station and the nearby airport is Amausi Airport.
