Rao Pragmalji's Palace was built in Venetian-Gothic style in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Constructed in marble sandstone, it is a mixture of British, Kutch,
Mughal and Italian styles, having Gothic arches, classical colonnades and European truss timber roofs. Its staircases and deep passages are floored with colorful Minton tiles. The Darbar Hall has corinthian pillars, molded ceilings and huge venetian chandeliers. The hall is impressive with ceiling murals of Shakespearean characters. The palace is furnished in the Victorian-Edwardian and art deco style. The palace hall has now been made into a museum, which has a collection of hunting trophies.
