Ranwan is a historic village situated about 15 km from Samrala in
Fatehgarh Sahib District.
Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru, visited this village in 1619. This place was also sanctified by
Guru Gobind Singh, the last Sikh Guru, during his journey to Kurukshetra in 1702.
Main attraction of this village is the renowned Gurdwara Gobindgarh Sahib Patshahi Chhevin Ate Dasvin. Built in 1960 by Maharaja Karam Singh of Patiala, the Gurdwara draws thousands of Sikh devotees.
The nearest railway station is located at Partabpura, about 3 km from here.
