Rankot

Rankot is a beautiful town situated on the southern border of Udhampur Districtin Jammu and Kashmir. It is to the south-east of Mansar and is to the west of Thabu.

Mansar Lake, two ancient temples dedicated to Umapati Mahadev and Narasimha and a Durga temple are the nearby attractions.

By road, Rankot can be reached from Udhampur as well as from Kachhapind. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, served by the Northern Railways.
