Rangamati is a small town, located near the Indo-Bhutan border, in
Jalpaiguri District of
West Bengal.
Buxa Duar, the Indian border town, is about 16 km to its east. The sub-divisional town of
Darjeeling District,
Siliguri, is 111 km away from Rangamati. Hasimara in the west, Bhutanese town of Daphu in the north and
Kalchini in the south are the neighboring towns.
Rangamati Tea Estate,
Buxa National Park, Sera Jhe monastery and Jayanti, a beautiful tourist spot on the banks of the Jayanti River, are the noteworthy sites in and around the town.
Coochbehar Airport and Hasimara Railway Station are the nearest access points.
