Started in 1962, Rang Bahar is the first performing art academy in India. It is located near Gandhigram Railway Station in
Ahmedabad,
Gujarat.
This organization promotes dance, drama, music and other cultural activities. Training in performing arts including drama and theater crafts is available. Rang Bahar has a special interest in training children and youth. It takes part in festivals and hosts various events in India and abroad. Folk dance and workshops are arranged in tribal areas. The organization has branches at Surat, New Delhi, Mumbai and Vadodara.
