Ramni is a picturesque village, situated 6 km from Deodi in
Chamoli District. It is located at an altitude of 2,500 m. It lies along the Kuari Pass, Nanda Devi and Roop Kund trek route. The region nestles among lush forests of juniper and rhododendron. It offers panoramic views of snow clad peaks and valleys all around. Nearby places to visit are Ramni Pass,
Kanol,
Mundoli, Nandakini Valley, Kalyaghat and
Jhinji. Trekking and mountaineering are the main attractions. Base camps are available. The villagers are linked with so many social rituals and annual events. They worship the ‘mother goddess’.
