Ramjak Peak is an accessible but challenging summit situated in the
Lahaul and Spiti District of
Himachal Pradesh. It lies to the south of the famous
Shingo La, 100m high pass crossed on the well-known trekking route from Lahaul to Zanskar in
Jammu and Kashmir. It is accessible through the
Manali-
Leh Military Road as far as
Darcha, and then an easy trek along the Kado Tokpo via Jankar Sumdo towards Chuminako. This massive peak is situated at an altitude of 6318 m. The peak was first climbed by Gary Murray in 2002.
