Ramjak is a quaint, rural area situated about 16 km north of Palamo, in the northern region of
Lahaul and Spiti District of
Himachal Pradesh. Located to the south of the famous
Shingo La - the 100 m high pass crossed on the well-known trekking route from Lahaul to Zanskar in
Jammu and Kashmir, this is a place of considerable tourist interest. Jankar Sumdo is about 10 km to the south.
Ramjak Peak, located at an altitude of 6318 m, is the main attraction. Ramjak is an ideal base for trekking enthusiasts. Base camps are available.
