Established in 1928, Ramakrishna Math at
Nagpur spreads the gospel of Sri Ramakrishna and serves the society regardless of cast, creed and religion. The math has a charitable physiotherapy unit with modern exercising instruments. Its library houses books in philosophy, religion, education, culture, literature, sociology, history, arts, science, biographies and agriculture. Books in Sanskrit, Marathi, Hindi, English and Bengali languages are available.
Its hostel accommodates students of various colleges in the vicinity. Lodging and boarding is free for poor and deserving students. Weekly religious classes are organized for moral and spiritual growth of the students. Various programs like debates, symposia and extempore speeches are also conducted for the students.
