A renowned comedy poet and artist, Ramai Kaka was born in 1915 at Rawatpur of
Unnao District in
Uttar Pradesh.
Belonged to an agricultural family, he shot to fame through his performance as an actor in the program, 'Bahire Babu', in All India Radio, Lucknow. Later his programs were broadcasted in BBC, London.
Ramai has penned a number of plays, comedy plays and poems, significant being 'Bauchhar', 'Netaji', 'Fuhar', 'Mati ke bol' and 'Hasya ke chhente'. For his contributions in Hindi literature, he was given a special award by Rajya Hindi Sansthan.
He passed away in 1982.
